Coach and Assistant Coach

The head coach (Coach) of each team is appointed by the Club. The Coach then appoints his/her support staff in particular the assistant coach/es, team manager and runner. Coaches and Assistant Coaches need to registered with the club as an official. Registration is free.
Coaches and Assistant Coaches must have a valid AFL coaching accreditation. Every season all coaches and assistant coaches need to complete their Coaches accreditation through the CoachAFL website.
As a part of the process the coach will select the age group that he/she is coaching, it will list the correct modules that the coach will need to complete for the season. Once all modules are completed he/she will need to select the club and age group they will be coaching. On completion the information will filter through to our database in GameDay, you are not required to send any certificates.
Runners also need to have a valid Working With Children’s Check (WWCC).
